About Roy:

Roy was born in Lorain, Ohio and moved to Florida in 1966.  He is a graduate of Lorain
High School, Palm Beach Junior College, the Florida Police Academy and attended
Florida Atlantic University.  He has also attended the Police K-9 School, Police
Self-Defense Instructors School, Institute of Applied Science (Scientific Crime
Detection School), Florida School of Polygraph and Interrogation, and the National
Training Center of Polygraph Science.  He also has over 2,000 hours of training in the
investigative field.

Roy was a police officer for the Lake Worth Police Department from 1969 to 1986,
retiring as a Detective Sergeant.  During his employment with the Lake Worth Police
Department, he served in many areas: road patrol officer and supervisor, traffic officer
and supervisor, K-9 officer, vice agent and supervisor, records and communications
supervisor, self-defense instructor, detective and detective sergeant, supervisor of a rape
task force, supervisor of a gang task force, chief polygraphist and a member of the first
Palm Beach County Multi-Agency Narcotic Task Force (MAN unit).

Polygraph Background:

Roy graduated from the Florida School of Polygraph for Lie Detection and
Interrogations in 1982 and has conducted over 10,000 polygraph examinations since
graduation.  He has attended numerous polygraph and training schools, including
schools on polygraph techniques for sexual assault and offender type cases.  He has
taught seminars on polygraph techniques for police and probation officers.  He is court
certified as an expert witness on polygraphs and has testified in front of a Grand Jury.
Roy also conducts polygraphs for the Department of Corrections and private therapists
and has earned the respect of several probation officers for the reports he has submitted
and the information obtained from these tests.
